Secret Holiday Retreats is a family run business created to provide guests with a home from home environment in the beautiful surroundings of the lake district.
Ramblers Retreat, is a beautiful Keswick Stone faced terraced cottage which is located in Windermere. It is a five minute walk from the picturesque town centre and 10 minute walk to Windermere train station in the heart of the Lake District National Park. A walk to Windermere lake takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes and can be accessed via the main road from Windermere to Bowness on Windermere or via some very beautiful country and fell walks. Numerous fell walks are accessible within a ten minute walk of the cottage, in particular, Brant Fell, Orrest Head and Post Knott which have beautiful views over the lake and surrounding areas.
There are regular buses that are easily accessible and take you through beautiful rolling countryside to the surrounding villages of Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere, Ullswater, Langdales, Rydal, Kendal, Staveley and Keswick.
